Ohio Governor Candidate Comparison

Amy Acton knows firsthand what it means to struggle. Raised in Youngstown, she experienced poverty and homelessness before overcoming those challenges to become a doctor, public health leader, and Director of the Ohio Department of Health. Because she has lived through the challenges many Ohio families face, she understands the real impact rising costs have on everyday people.

While too many politicians ignore the rising cost of living, Amy Acton is focused on lowering costs for Ohio families—from healthcare and prescription drugs to childcare, utilities, and groceries. She is fighting to ease the squeeze on working families so Ohioans can thrive, not just scrape by.

Vivek Ramaswamy plans to gut funding for the services we all count on statewide, creating a $10 billion budget hole that will force more cuts to our already struggling public schools and key programs like Medicaid and other services Ohioans rely on. Ramaswamy has also called for closing Ohio universities, arguing that the state has "too many" of them.

And while Ramaswamy is asking Ohioans to trust him with our state's future, the company he co-founded, Strive Asset Management, moved its headquarters from Ohio to Dallas, Texas.
